About Me

I have been drawing my whole life. As soon as I could hold a crayon I was drawing square horses with weirdly shaped legs underneath yellow suns. (You know the kind, up in the corner of the page.) Later I graduated to princesses, fairies, and mermaids. When I hit 13 Captain Jack Sparrow turned my mind to pirates. This was a breakthrough period, odd as it may sound. (Pirates are very inspiring. This is a fact of my life.) I began drawing portraits, beginning with Captain Jack and then moving through other people, and very quickly learned to grasp value, light and shadow, and anatomy on a bigger scale.
As the years passed I was soon diving into drawing my own characters from the stories I was writing and creating. My anatomy work improved drastically through my teen years and still continues to do so.
My focus these days is painting and creating artwork for the novels I'm writing, the Solar Kingdoms series. I works primarily with pencils and Photoshop, and sometimes markers, but I like to dabble with watercolors or oils once in a while.
I loves animals (I never stopped drawing horses), movies, television, books, gaming, and of course drawing and writing.
Feel free to send me a note! I'd love to take your questions, or chat with you about art, and possibly Doctor Who and Guild Wars.
Thanks for visiting!
